The borrower must make every effort to avoid damaging the book. Damages within the meaning of this contract include, but are not limited to: The borrower must make every effort to keep the book free of foreign substances, odors and /or objects. This includes, but is not limited to: food; drinking; beverage-like foods (soup); food drinks (smoothies); bodily fluids; anything that was previously attached to a human or animal, such as hair and nails; particles of everything that is crispy, recognizable or not; bookmarks with stupid sayings; cat photos that the owner will not find enchanting; and personal notes that are not of interest to the owner. If the borrower does not meet, intentionally or unintentionally, any of the above conditions, he must take one or more appropriate steps from the list below to be considered for a book loan and/or future friendship. Borrowing a book from a friend always seems like a wonderful idea. You feel like a magnanimous literary Jena and your girlfriend enjoys the privilege of reading the free book you have carefully selected just for her. The owner has the right to refuse the loan of a book at any time.

There is no need to make a declaration; However, if the owner offers an explanation, the rejected borrower has no right to be offended and/or arguing. I know all too well when I accept a book I borrowed and discover that it doesn`t look like I did the last time I held it in my hand. cracks, spills, broken bonds; there are many mishaps that can happen to a borrowed book. I understand that wrinkles are part of life, but when I lend you one of my books, I trust you to take care of it as if it were your own. The borrower must make a good faith effort to return the borrowed book within a reasonable time. For the purposes of this Agreement, a “reasonable period of time” is 2 months. To protect your books and mine, I propose the following document: never again will we hold a book returned to our hands and we will wonder why it is in two parts if it was only one before. I ____________ (“the borrower”) hereby request to borrow a book from __ (“the owner”). I acknowledge that borrowing books is a privilege managed by the owner on a case-by-case basis, and that borrowing a book does not mean that I am allowed to borrow future books.
